WaterFire Accelerate Panel Talk
WaterFire Accelerate is a year-long professional development program that empowers artists under 30 to take the next step in their creative careers. Artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines are selected to participate, reflecting the vibrancy of Providence’s creative community. The fifth cohort includes Aja Delgado, Pamela Fernández, Leia Fifer, Yasmine Hassan, Amelia Rozear, and Rachel Turner.
Michael Rose, Moderator
Michael Rose is an art gallerist and writer based in Providence, RI. Since 2014 he has served as the Gallery Manager at the historic Providence Art Club, overseeing a complex schedule of exhibitions spread across three unique gallery spaces. In addition to his gallery work he is an active writer. From 2021-2025 he wrote the weekly Inside Art column for local news site GoLocalProv.com, and in 2024 he founded New England Art News, a free weekly resource newsletter for artists which boasts over 2,300 subscribers around the region and beyond. In 2026 he was appointed to the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
